Sunday, November 24 – Saturday, November 30, 2019
(Phase 2 Activity):

Installed the curb face of proposed sidewalk formwork in spans 1 and 2.

Adjusted the height of curb reveal on top of the prefabricated formwork.
-
Installed demo shield for the exiting scupper removal in spans 4 and 5 north bridge.
-
Installed overhead brackets and installed sidewalk formwork at span 13 and 14.
-
Placed structural backfill behind proposed backwall, east abutment and north bridge.
-
Chipped and removed existing deck on both side joint.
-
Completed installing and torqueing the bolts in the jacking angles at pier 14.
-
Drilled for the proposed exproxy coated rebar in the proposed bearing pedestals at pier4 interior and exterior girders.
-
Placed structural backfill materials and #57 stone pervious fill behind proposed backwall at east abutment.
-
Removed rebars and concrete between piers 3 and 5 for the placement of proposed scuppers.
-
Installed proposed bracing between the floor beams in spans 14 and 15.
-
Completed deck removal for the proposed bridge scuppers in spans 4 and 5.
-
Formed the proposed bearing pedestals at pier 4.
-
Chipped the existing deck slab at pier 7, north bridge, for the removal.
Sunday, November 17 – Saturday, November 23, 2019
(Phase 2 Activity):
-
Chipping and removal of a portion of the existing deck slab, to the top mat of reinforcing steel span 4.
-
Formed the bridge sidewalk on the north span at 9 and 10.
-
Demolition of the existing sidewalk and continued at span 13 and continued reconstructing strip seal at pier 14.
-
Removed the existing downspouts and scuppers in span 3.
-
Removed existing rivets at pier 3.
-
Placed structural backfill materials and #57 stone pervious fill behind proposed backwall at east abutment north bridge.
-
Installed 45 feet and 6-inch perforated pipe behind proposed backwall and filled with aggregate base course materials.
-
Removed existing concrete deck at exiting maintenance manhole in span 1.
-
Installed proposed jacking angles at pier 3.
-
Started operations for strip seal at pier 14 and started the deck formwork for the proposed full depth concrete repairs for the exiting scuppers in between spans 2/3.

Installed overhead brackets at span 15.
-
Removed jacking platform at pier 14 installing jacking angles.
Sunday, November 10 – Saturday, November 16, 2019
(Phase 2 Activity):
-
Installed deck formwork for proposed sidewalk north bridge span 5 and 6
-
Demolition of existing sidewalk span 12.
-
Removed pedestrian railing on the west bound section of the sidewalk between piers 12 and 13.
-
Installed metallic brackets for the demo shields at pier 7.
-
Drilled for anchor bolts at pier 5 and removed existing bearing assembles at piers 5 and 7.
-
Installed the proposed #7 diagonal rebar and milled 30 inches at span 3 from north edge for the proposed sidewalk.
-
Demolished parapet at spans 10/11.
-
Removed sections of the existing deck slab.
-
Placed eproxy coated rebar for the proposed bearing pedestals at pier 7.
-
Assembled overhead brackets.
-
Installed deck formwork for proposed sidewalk north bridge spans 12/14.
-
Removed existing deck on both side of the joint for armored joint reconstruction.
-
Assembled and prep for future placement between piers 12/14.
Sunday, November 3 – Saturday, November 9, 2019
(Phase 2 Activity):
-
Striped the form work from the proposed bearing pedestal at piers 9 and 11 north bridge and form work for the proposed east abutment back wall and wing wall north bridge.
-
Installed deck form work for proposed sidewalk north bridge at span 3-6 and 7.
-
Reconstructed strip seal at pier 10, north bridge.
-
Milled concrete for the new sidewalk at span 3 from north edge of the bridge.
-
Drilled at pier 6 for anchor bolts.
-
Installed 3549.0 Lbs of epoxy coated rebars prior to placing the concrete.
-
Removed existing deck along the existing strip seal joints.
-
Set jacks, shim plates, and bracing at pier 8 north bridge and jacked pier 8.
-
Chipped around the existing deck drainage scupper on the north bridge span 1.
-
Milled concrete for the new sidewalk was also continued at span 3 and span 5.
-
Demolition of bridge parapet and removal of rebars and concrete debris between pier 9 and pier 11.
-
Installed demo shield underneath and saw cut the area prior to removing the grate.
-
Installed vertical protection shields/guards around the scuppers and then removed a grate at span 1.
-
Installed the proposed epoxy coated rebar for the proposed bearing pedestals at piers 6 and 8.
-
Demolition by hand of bridge parapet and removal of rebars and concrete debris between pier 9 and pier 12.
-
Demolition around the existing scuppers at span 1. They installed demo shield underneath and saw cut the area prior to removing the existing scuppers.
-
Installed working platforms for jacking operations at pier 7 and pier 5.
