Sunday, July 26, 2020 – Saturday, August 1, 2020
(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Jacking the existing girders at pier 14 on the south bridge and at the ramp C bridge.

  • Hand chipping and removal of a portion of the existing deck slab in span 11.

  • Demolishing of the existing south wingwall at the ramp C bridge.

  • Removal of the manhole frame, cover and associated concrete at pier 9.  

  • Installation of epoxy coated reinforcement bars for the proposed sidewalk at spans 8 and 9 on the south bridge.

  • Removal of 8 existing bearings at pier 14 on the south bridge and at ramp C.

  • Completed the formwork for the proposed manhole in span 11.

  • Removal of the existing south wingwall at the ramp C bridge.

  • Resetting of the existing pedestrian railing in spans 1 and 2.

  • Forming of the proposed sidewalk at span 10 on the south bridge.

  • Demolition of the barrier wall at pier 1.

  • Removal of concrete for the proposed scupper.

  • Removal of a portion of armored joint at the west abutment at pier 1.

  • Installation of epoxy-coated rebar at manhole. 

  • Installation of 8 proposed bridge bearings at pier 14 on the south bridge and at the ramp C bridge.

  • Placement of lightweight concrete for the proposed maintenance manhole in span 10.

  • Placement of concrete for the proposed deck drain scupper in span 11.

  • Drilling for the proposed epoxy coated reinforcing steel to be doweled into the existing east abutment backwall footer at the ramp C bridge.

  • Chipping and removal of a portion of existing deck on both sides of existing strip seal joint at piers 2 and 3.

  • Completed prep work for the proposed deck drain concrete in spans 10 and 11 on the south bridge.

  • Straightening and plumbing of the pedestrian railing re-set in spans 1 and 2 on the south bridge.

  • Reconstruction of the existing armor joints at piers 4 and 10.

  • Grouting the anchor bolts at pier 2 on the south bridge. 

  • Replacement of the strip seal joint at piers 5, 10, and 11 on the south bridge.

  • Forming of the underside of the proposed strip seal joint at pier 10.

  • Moving and cleaning of the sectional barges.

  • Staging the proposed bridge bearing for the proposed east abutment, south bridge and the Ramp C bridge.

Sunday, July 19, 2020 – Saturday, July 25, 2020
(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Installation of 7 bridge bearings at pier 13 on the south bridge.

  • Demolition of the ramp C backwall.

  • Forming and prepping for the proposed deck drain concrete.

  • Hand demolition the bottom portion of the existing bridge parapet in spans 7 and 8 on the south bridge.

  • Installation of epoxy coated reinforcement bars for proposed sidewalk at span 5 on the south bridge.

  • Installation of epoxy-coated rebar for scupper.

  • Forming the bearing pedestal for the proposed bridge bearings at pier 13 on the south bridge in spans 13 and 14

  • Removal of the existing backwall at the east abutment ramp C bridge and the existing north wingwall.

  • Hand demolition the bottom portion of the existing bridge parapet in span 8 on the south bridge.

  • Completed layout epoxy coated reinforcement bars for proposed sidewalk north bridge at span 6

  • Placement of self-consolidating concrete (SCC) for the proposed bearing pedestals at pier 13 on the south bridge.

  • Demolition of the existing north wingwall on the ramp C east abutment.

  • Hand demolition of the existing bridge parapet in span 9

  • Placement of lightweight concrete for the proposed bridge scupper and full depth concrete in span 9, of strip seal joint at pier 7 south bridge.

  • Installation of the epoxy coated reinforcing steel for the proposed bearing pedestals at pier 13 on the south bridge

  • Placement of lightweight concrete for the proposed bridge scupper in span 9

  • Installation of the proposed demo shielding under the existing and proposed bridge scuppers in span 10.

  • Completed the strip seal joint at pier 7 on the south bridge.

  • Removal of the manhole frame and cover and a portion of armored joint at pier 9

  • Removal of the scupper and down spout.

  • Removal of the concrete for manhole.

  • installation a portion of armored joint at pier 9

  • Completed lowering the existing girders on the new bearing pedestals at pier 13 on the south bridge.

  • Chipping and hand demolition a portion of the existing deck slab in span 11 on the south bridge

  • Installation of the proposed demo shielding under the existing and proposed bridge scuppers in span 10.

  • Completed the prep work for the proposed strip seal joint at pier 8 on the south bridge.

Sunday, July 12, 2020 – Saturday, July 18, 2020
(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Installing 5 bearings at pier 12 on the south bridge and formed bearing pedestals.

  • Removal of the existing neoprene strip seal and armor joint at piers 4 and 5 on the south bridge.

  • Adjusting and bending existing reinforcing steel to be incorporated to proposed sidewalk in span 3 on the south bridge.

  • Installing of the epoxy coated rebars for scuppers.

  • Installing of the 2-Type A scuppers

  • Installation of the coated reinforcing steel for the proposed bearing pedestals at pier 12 on the south bridge.

  • Hand Chipping the remaining portion base of existing parapet in spans 7 and 8 on the south bridge.

  • Placement of lightweight concrete for the scuppers and armored joints at pier 4.

  • Placement of lightweight concrete for full depth deck repair and deck drain in span 8.

  • Installation of the coated reinforcement bars for proposed sidewalk and overhead sign blister in spans 3, 4 and 5 south bridge.

  • Removal of the deck concrete and installed coated bars for scupper.

  • Installing the proposed jacking for the girder jacking operation at pier 13 on the south bridge.

  • Demolishing ramp C east abutment backwall.

  • Stripping and remove the demo shield from the underside of the new bridge scuppers in span 3 on the south bridge.

  • Drilling for the proposed bearing pedestal anchor bolts at pier 14 on the south bridge and ramp C bridge.

  • Prepping sidewalk and scuppers for the next pour and chipping the remaining portion base of existing parapet in span 8 on the south bridge.

Sunday, July 5, 2020 – Saturday, July 11, 2020
(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Hand chipping of base portion of existing parapet in spans 5, 6 and 7.

  • Forming for proposed sidewalk in spans 1 and 2.

  • Removal of the armored joint in span 1, west abutment.

  • Reworking pier 2, swapping elastomeric pads and between span 8 and span 12.

  • Installation of the epoxy-coated rebar for proposed manhole at pier 5 and of the epoxy-coated rebar for proposed scupper.

  • Demolition and removal of concrete from proposed scupper.

  • Repairing concrete in span 5 on the south bridge.

  • Placement of lightweight concrete for proposed manhole in span 5 of armored joint at pier 3 on the south bridge.

  • Installed perforated pipe wrapped up with stone and geofabric materials.

  • Swapping elastomeric pads at pier 2 and pier 4 between spans 8 and 12.

  • Fixing the distorted overhang platforms between spans 8 and 12.

  • Repairing the damaged streetlight conduit at ramp C.

  • Installing rebars for scuppers at station, forms sidewalk between span 1 and 3.

  • Backfilling at the east abutment backwall and continued hand chipping of base of existing parapet in span 5.

  • Installing epoxy coated reinforcement bars for proposed sidewalk in span 2 on the south bridge.

  • Jacking girders at pier, removed 2 scuppers and continued chipping of base portion of existing parapet in span 7 on the south bridge.

  • Removing deck concrete for 6 scuppers.

  • Demolition and chipping in span 7 at pier 4 on the south bridge.
