(Final Restoration Phase Activity):
-
Replacement of the concrete to repair anchor bolts on the east median barrier.

Repairing the existing median barrier which was damaged due to slippery surface.
-
Installation of the one missing anchor bolt for the proposed light pole.
-
Stripping, rubbing and patching the median barrier light pole pours, east of the bridge.
-
Repairing the damaged plain cement concrete (PCC) median barrier at the west end of span 1 of the north bridge and the north end of the west approach.
-
Installation of cables and grounding rods at the east approach.
-
Pulling cable and ground wire for the proposed light poles on the median barrier east of the bridge.
-
Installation of the grounding rods at all three-light pole locations.
-
Splicing and tying into the power source for the median barrier lighting on the east side of the bridge.
-
Replacement of the missing luminaires in the median barrier light poles.
Sunday, January 17, 2021 – Saturday, January 23, 2021
(Final Restoration Phase Activity):
-
Installation of the tape lane markings at the gore area and 1-295 northbound on the east side.
-
Restoration of the pedestrian crosswalk on the south side of span 1, at the south bridge.
-
Removal of the curing protection from the F-Shape barrier on the existing ramp to I-295 northbound.
-
Repainting the pedestrian crosswalk on the south side of span 1, at the south bridge.
-
Chipping and removing a portion of the double face median barrier east of the bridge.
-
Replacement of the electrical conduit that was damaged during the median barrier demo operation.
Sunday, January 10, 2021 – Saturday, January 16, 2021
(Final Restoration Phase Activity):
-
Shifting the lanes on the east end of westbound and eastbound traffic, on the east end of the project, to all the striping operation.
-
Restoration of the NPS property on the SW side of spans 1 and 2.
-
Regrading and returning the area to its original grades.
-
Forming the proposed F-shape barrier on the existing ramp to I-295 northbound.
-
Installation of pavement markings at the east side of the project.
-
Placement of concrete of proposed barrier on the south side of the existing ramp to I-295 northbound.
-
Installation of the permanent thermoplastic striping on the east end of the project.
-
Replacing the missing and/or damage wire mesh on the maintenance platform in span 1 south bridge at the west abutment.
-
Installation of the pedestrian railing on the backside of the pedestrian sidewalk at ramp C.
-
Replacing the wire mesh at two maintenance bay platforms in span 1, south bridge at the west abutment and span 1, at the north bridge at pier 1.
-
Cutting the ends of the pedestrian railing on the SE end of the pedestrian walkway.
-
Repaired the bollard at the east side under the bridge.
-
Markings of pavement at various locations at westbound and eastbound and gore areas.
Sunday, January 3, 2021 – Saturday, January 9, 2021
(Final Restoration Phase Activity):
-
Milling the existing pavement westbound east of the bridge.
-
Resetting of the existing granite stone curb on the south side of East Capitol Street eastbound.
-
Repairing concrete on the west face of pier 2, of the south bridge.
-
Patching the underside of the bridge sidewalk in span 2, at the north and south bridges.
-
Patching and parging underneath the bridge deck.
-
Resetting the existing salvaged stone curb on the south side of East Capitol Street.
-
Milling the existing AC wearing surface eastbound, east of the bridge.
-
Demobilizing sectional barges used under the bridge.
-
Removal of all boats from the site.
-
Forming the proposed barrier on the existing northbound ramp to I-295.
-
Installation of the epoxy coated rebar for the proposed barrier on the northbound ramp to I-295.
