Sunday, August 23, 2020 – Saturday, August 29, 2020
(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Stripping and removing the formwork from the proposed backwall and wingwalls at the east abutment Ramp C bridge.

  • Placement of lightweight concrete for the full depth deck repair in spans 14 and 15, lightweight concrete for the proposed deck drain in span 15.

  • Installation of the epoxy coated reinforcing steel for the full depth deck repairs in span 14 and the proposed bearing pedestals at the east abutment, Ramp C bridge.

  • Resetting the existing pedestrian railing on the south bridge, spans 6, 7 and 10, continued prep work for the proposed median barrier repairs.

  • Jacking existing girder at the east abutment, Ramp C bridge.

  • Prepping for the latex modified concrete (LMC) overlay, strip seal joint reconstruction at pier 13 and drilling for the proposed historical bridge rail anchor bolts in span 6 at the south bridge.

  • Installation of the armored joint at pier 13.

  • Continued to prepare scupper for the future placement of concrete.

  • Installation of sidewalk edge forms from sidewalk at spans 13 to 15.

  • Installation of the epoxy-coated on scuppers.

  • Forming the proposed bearing pedestals at the east abutment, Ramp C bridge.

  • Installation of the proposed epoxy coated reinforcing steel for bearing pedestals at the east abutment.

  • Prepping surface for latex modified concrete (LMC) for historic and pedestrian railing installation, strip seal joint and scuppers reconstruction.

  • Placement of lightweight concrete for the proposed full depth concrete repair for two existing bridge scuppers in span 14.

  • Placement of lightweight concrete for two proposed deck drain scuppers in span 14 and backfilling at Ramp C abutment.

  • Completion of stripping and removing the formwork from the proposed bearing pedestals at the east abutment, Ramp C bridge.

  • Installation of elastic bearings and lowered the jack.

  • Installation of grout the anchor bolts in the existing pedestrian railing at spans 9 and 10.

  • Installation of the proposed bridge scuppers in span 13, east of pier 12.

  • Setting the proposed historical bridge rail in span 9, at the south bridge.

Sunday, August 16, 2020 – Saturday, August 22, 2020
(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Installation of proposed bridge bearings east abutment at the south bridge.

  • Installation of epoxy coated rebar for the backwall reconstruction at Ramp C backwall.

  • Installation of railings, scupper and joint reconstructions.

  • Removal of sidewalk edge forms from sidewalk in span 12 and placing concrete for proposed strip seal joint at median barrier west abutment between piers 1 thru 4 at the south bridge.

  • Completion of the forming the proposed bearing pedestals at the east abutment at the south bridge.

  • Drilling for the proposed anchor bolts at the Ramp C east abutment.

  • Continued to stake and layout for the proposed bridge curbline and sidewalk in span 13 thru 15 at the south bridge.

  • Cleanup on top of the bridge between spans 1 and 6.

  •  Resetting historical bridge rail in spans 3 and 4, median section of strip seal joint reconstruction in spans 5 thru 9 and scuppers reconstruction.

  • Installation of epoxy coated reinforcement bars for proposed sidewalk in span 12.

  • Removal of concrete for scupper.

  • Placement and completion of lightweight concrete for median barrier closure pours at piers 5 thru 9 a the south bridge.

  • Chipping and removing a portion of the existing deck concrete for the proposed bridge scupper in span 15.

  • Forming the strip seal joint at median barrier in spans 10 and 11.

  • Drilling for the proposed historical bridge rail anchor bolts in span 4 at the south bridge.

  • Stripping and removing formwork from the proposed bearing pedestals at the east abutment on the south bridge.

  • Demolition and chipping a portion of the existing deck slab in span 14.

  • Placement of lightweight concrete for a full depth deck repair in three locations in span 13.

  • Resetting of existing railings and installing historic railing were also continued.

  • Milling operation of existing latex modified concrete (LMC) at the south bridge from west abutment to span 9 and hauled the cuts off the site.

  • Installation of rebars for scupper and sidewalk edge forms from sidewalk in spans 13 thru 15.

  • Continued the deck formwork for the proposed full depth deck repairs in span 14.

  • Stripping the overhung formwork and brackets from spans 6, 7, 8 and 10 at the south bridge.

  • Resetting the existing pedestrian railing between spans 6 and 7.

  • Installation of the existing railing and swept the milled deck surface between west abutment and span 9 at the south bridge.

Sunday, August 9, 2020 – Saturday, August 15, 2020
(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Installation of traffic drums on the north bridge to close the middle lane for speed reduction.

  • Drilling for the proposed jacking angles at the east abutment at the south bridge.

  • Removal of the existing rivets at ramp C abutment and formwork for the proposed Ramp C east abutment backwall.

  • Reconstruction and resetting existing pedestrian railing in span 5.

  • Installation of epoxy coated reinforcement bars for proposed sidewalk at the south bridge in span 11.

  • Forming sidewalk in spans 10 and 11.

  • Prepping the scuppers, joint reconstruction and Ramp C backwall reconstruction.

  • Installation of the historic railing and resetting existing pedestrian railings. 

  • Installation of epoxy coated rebars and concrete removal for manhole frame, cover and scuppers.

  • Placement of concrete for proposed deck drain scuppers in span 12 at the south bridge and the completion of a repair.

  • Chipping and removing apportion of existing deck and strip seal joint at piers 9 and 11 north half.

  • Drilling for the proposed historical bridge rail anchor bolts in span 3 at the south bridge and setting historical bridge rail in span 2.

  • Completed jacking the existing girders in span 15, east abutment at the south bridge and continued the formwork for the proposed north and south wingwalls at Ramp C bridge.

  • Stripping and removing the overhung brackets and formwork in spans 6 and 7.

  • Hand demolition and chipping a portion of the existing concrete deck for the proposed bridge scuppers in span 12. 

  • Installation of the historic railing block-outs between piers 11 and 12.

  • Adjusted rebars and formworks for upcoming placement of concrete for the east abutment backwall.

  • Removal and disposal of deck debris and barrier wall sections at piers 3, 4, and 5.

Sunday, August 2, 2020 – Saturday, August 8, 2020
(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Prepping sidewalk, strip seal joints and scuppers.

  • Reinstalling the existing pedestrian connections.

  • Lowering the existing girders at pier 14 on the south bridge and ramp C bridge after receiving the cylinder break.

  • Removal of the armored joint at the pier 7, assembling and installing scupper.           

  • Switching the traffic pattern on the north bridge.

  • Resetting the existing pedestrian railing on the new bridge sidewalk in span 4 on the south bridge.

  • Removal of the timber sidewalk and overhang formwork, spans 4 and 5 on the south bridge.

  • Completed the formwork for the proposed bridge sidewalk in span 10 on the south bridge.

  • Hand excavating for the proposed jacking towers at the east abutment on the south bridge.

  • Resetting the existing pedestrian railing at span 4 and backwall reconstruction at ramp C.

  • Prepping sidewalk, joints and scuppers in spans 11 and 12 on the south bridge.

  • Building a work platform under span 15 at the east abutment south bridge for the bridge jacking operation.

  • Placement of concrete for the strip seal joint and scupper in span 11.

  • Installation of epoxy coated reinforcement bars for proposed sidewalk and overhead sign blister in span 10 on the south bridge.

  • Placement of sidewalk in span 10, half side of proposed strip seal joint at pier 6 and pier 7.
