(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Jacking of the existing girders at piers 8 and 10 on the south bridge and removal of four existing bearings.

  • Assembling and setting of the rear panel forms for the proposed east abutment backwall and south wingwall.

  • Removal of the existing strip seal joint at piers 1 and 2 on the south bridge.

  • Installation of the overhead brackets and timber deck formwork for the proposed sidewalk in spans 5 - 7 on the south bridge.

  • Removal of the jacks, scuppers and downspouts at pier 10.

  • Installation of the proposed bridge bearings at pier 10 on the south bridge.

  • Stripping of the seal joints and core drilling for the proposed bridge bearing anchor bolts at pier 8 on the south bridge.

  • Installation of the proposed bridge bearings at pier 8 on the south bridge.

  • Installation of the formwork for the proposed east abutment backwall and south wingwall.

  • Removal of the existing strip seal joint at pier 1 on the south bridge.

  • Removal of scuppers and completed placing lightweight concrete for the proposed deck drains in span 1 on the south bridge.

  • Chipping of the base portion of the existing parapet at span 3.

  • Demolition of existing parapet at spans 6 and 7; Flame cutting the remaining existing reinforcing steel.

  • Placement of the concrete for the proposed bearing pedestals at piers 8 and 10 on the south bridge.

  • Placement of lightweight concrete for the full depth deck repairs in spans 2 and 3 on the south bridge.

Sunday, June 14, 2020 – Saturday, June 20, 2020
(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Milling of a portion of the existing overlay under the proposed bridge sidewalk in span 14 on the south bridge.

  • Drilling, installation, and grouting of the proposed epoxy dowel bars in the existing footing at the east abutment on the south bridge.

  • Core drilling for the proposed bridge bearings at pier 5.

  • Removal of the existing bridge bearings from the four girders at pier 7.

  • Demolition of the existing parapet at spans 1, 2 and 3; flame cutting the remaining existing reinforcing steel.

  • Installation of the overhead brackets and timber deck formwork for the proposed sidewalk at spans 1 and 2 on the south bridge.

  • Removal of the existing stone masonry on the existing south wingwall (south bridge, east abutment).

  • Replacement of bearings and installation of the epoxy coated rebar for the proposed bearing pedestals at piers 5.

  • Assembling and setting the rear panel forms for the proposed east abutment backwall and south wingwall.

  • Hand chipping of the base portion of the existing parapet at span 9 on the south bridge.

  • Installation of the overhang-brackets and wooden forms between piers 8 and 10.

  • Removal of the existing cribbing on the existing pier 10 pier cap on the south bridge.

  • Core drilling for the proposed bridge bearing anchor bolts at piers 8 and 10 on the south bridge.

  • Hand chipping of the base portion of existing parapet at spans 8 – 10 on the south bridge.

  • Placement of self-consolidated concrete for the proposed bearing pedestals at piers 5 and 7 on the south bridge.

  • Installation of the epoxy coated reinforcing steel for the proposed east abutment backwall and south wingwall on the south bridge.

Sunday, June 7, 2020 – Saturday, June 13, 2020
(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Jacking of the existing girders at piers 4 and 6 on the south bridge and removal of existing bearing assemblies.

  • Core drilling for the proposed anchor bolts for the new bearing assemblies at pier 6 on the south bridge.

  • Chipping and removal of the existing stone masonry on the existing southeast wingwall (south bridge).

  • Installation of new bridge bearings at piers 4 and 6 on the south bridge.

  • Installation of epoxy coated reinforcing steel for the proposed bearing pedestals at piers 4 and 6 south bridge.

  • Installation of overhang-brackets and wooden forms between piers 8 and 9 for the future placement of the bridge sidewalk.

  • Preparation of the pedestals for concrete pour

  • Hand chipping of existing sidewalk on south bridge at span 3 and existing parapet at spans 9 – 12.

  • Installation of the rebars for the east abutment backwall reconstruction

  • Hand chipping of the base portion of existing parapet on the south bridge at spans 13 and 14.

  • Machine demolition of the parapet at span 8.

Sunday, May 31, 2020 – Saturday, June 6, 2020
(Phase 3 Activity):

  • Jacking of the bridge at piers 1 and 3 and removal of the bearing assemblies.

  • Core drilling for the proposed bearing assemblies at pier 1/span 2 (interior and exterior girders).

  • Grouting of the anchor bolts at pier 2 on the south bridge.

  • Milling the existing bridge deck under the proposed bridge sidewalk in spans 9, 10 and 15 on the south bridge.

  • Installation of the overhang brackets and wooden forms between piers 11 and 13.

  • Excavation behind the existing east abutment backwall on the south bridge.

  • Repairing and patching of a portion of the existing bearing pedestal.

  • Stripping and removal of the formwork from the bearing pedestal at piers 1 and 3 on the south bridge.

  • Demolition operation of the existing east abutment backwall on the south bridge.

  • Removal of the existing stone masonry at the east abutment on the south bridge, southeast wingwall.

  • Demolition of the concrete sidewalk pavement and concrete barriers between piers 10 – 12 and piers 3 – 4.

  • Removal of the rebars from existing demo sidewalk.

  • Demolition of the existing bridge parapet on the south bridge at spans 10 and 14.

  • Milling the existing deck slab in span 1 on the south bridge.
